Chantha is ethnically Cambodian and was raised in Long Beach, California, by a single mother. Through God's divine hand over Chantha, he came to know the Lord at an early age and had the privilege of attending a private Christian school. In his early teen years, he knew that God was calling him into pastoral ministry and subsequently enrolled in Bible college to pursue a bachelors degree in theology. While in college, Chantha met Susan, a native of Rockford, Illinois. They dated, graduated, married ('01) and began their new life and ministry at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Since his ordination into the gospel ministry, Chantha has served in various pastoral roles in Arkansas, Singapore, Florida, Missouri, and now Illinois.
In 2021, he became the Lead Pastor at Bunker Hill Church. Chantha is a passionate preacher, caring shepherd, and encouraging leader who lives with the mission statement; "Love God. Love others. Learn truth. Live for the eternal." As a former missionary, he is passionate about world evangelism, especially in underserved and unreached places of the world.
Chantha and his wife, Susan have been married for 20 years and have 3 children; Caleb, Corban, and Carter and a French Bulldog named CoCo Chanel.
