Jeremiah 3:15 "And I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding."

Church Council

The Church Council consists of servant leaders who serve the congregation by demonstrating humility while actively advancing the Gospel in the church. The Council consists of the Elders, Deacons, and Ministry Directors. Together, the Council serves underneath the Lordship of Jesus Christ as the Head of the church and are guided by The Bible as the final authority for faith and practice. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Elders

The elders are the spiritual leaders of the Church and, as such, they must meet the qualifications as outlined in I Timothy and Titus. Scripture calls elders to lead the church, teach the Word, protect the church from false teaching pray for the sick, and use proper judgment in theological and doctrinal matters. Elders are comprised of staff elders and lay elders.

Deacons

The deacons shall oversee the congregation's needs and meet the qualifications outlined in I Timothy and Titus. The word “deacon” (diakonos in Greek) means “servant.” Deacons are the servants of the Church--men, and women (Romans 16:1), who are qualified to oversee and care for God’s people. There are no gender delineations for the office of the deacons. Therefore, we shall reference deacons as either male or female.
